International Scientific Conference “Sustainable Use of Plant Biomass: Technical, Technological, Environmental and Legal Problems”

From 14 to 16 January 2026, the International Scientific Conference
“Sustainable Use of Plant Biomass: Technical, Technological, Environmental and Legal Problems” was held in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland.

The conference was organized within the framework of the international project
“Logging Residue Torrefaction and Pressure Agglomeration as a Method to Conserve Fossil Fuels”, financed by the International Visegrad Fund.

The event brought together representatives of the scientific community, manufacturers, and entrepreneurs involved in the biomass sector. Participants came from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, and Ukraine.

During the conference, research results and practical developments in the field of sustainable use of plant biomass were presented, and key technical, technological, environmental, and legal aspects of the sector’s development were discussed.
